six emojions
Titled “Six emojions”, this piece is an homage to Mu Qi’s iconic “Six persimmons” was the one painting that stuck with me all these years from my Asian Art History course back in college.
Painted by a Chinese monk + calligrapher around the 14th century, it always felt very contemporary + timeless to me. The color palette screamed understated + controlled, yet deliberate.
