Romi Myers
[b.1974, Brazil]
Bio
Romi Myers continues to break new ground in the digital and augmented reality art worlds. With her rich Brazilian, Japanese, and Italian heritage, Romi draws on a vibrant and diverse range of cultural influences to create visually stimulating, thought-provoking pieces that invite viewers to explore the intersection of technology, identity, and human emotion. Her work is known for its dynamic energy, blending traditional artistic techniques with cutting-edge digital innovations.
After graduating from Florida State University with a degree in Interior Design, Romi embarked on a successful career that spanned over two decades. She spent 22 years living and working in Seattle, Washington, where she specialized in designing commercial interior spaces and aircraft interiors for major international airlines. Her keen eye for detail, innovative thinking, and commitment to excellence led her to rise through the ranks, eventually becoming a Creative Director for an award-winning experience design firm. In this leadership role, she was responsible for shaping immersive environments and brand experiences that captivated global audiences.
Despite her achievements in the corporate design world, Romi felt a persistent calling to return to her first love: fine art. In 2021, recognizing the need for a profound change both personally and professionally, she made the bold decision to relocate back to Miami, Florida. The move allowed her to reconnect with her roots, spend more time with her family, and fully dedicate herself to her creative passions. Today, Romi is focused on building a body of work that explores the limitless possibilities of visual storytelling through digital and augmented reality mediums. She continues to push artistic boundaries, developing projects that are as intellectually engaging as they are visually mesmerizing, establishing her as a rising voice in the contemporary art scene.

Artist Statement
Romi’s vision is to facilitate open and thought-provoking discussions about the nature of reality and how humans interpret it. Her artistic style has been highly influenced by the Superflat Movement, both of which have inspired her to incorporate vibrant colors and bold, cartoon-like imagery into her body of work.
In 2021, Romi became fascinated by augmented reality and its ability to bridge the gap between the digital and physical worlds. So much so that most of her art pieces have since introduced some element of surprise for those who collect her work through the use of ArtiviveApp.
“My Emojions” series has grown to include new interactive elements, blending sustainability, emotional exploration, and AR [augmented reality] technology, engaging viewers in entirely unexpected ways. Her work also continues to incorporate her synesthesia, further bridging her sensory experiences through color and emotion.
Ultimately, Romi’s body of work aims to promote empathy, connection, and understanding while showcasing the beauty and complexity of the human experience through playful titles, and a little tongue in cheek humor.
By end of 2025, Romi successfully helped plant over 1400 trees with her contribution to Trees for the Future as her continued commitment to making a positive impact on the environment. As her collectors circle continues to grow both nationally and internationally, some of her work can also be found at Wynwood Kollective, located in the world renowned Wynwood Art District in Miami, FL.
